Seed packets available to the community at markets in March

Thanks to the generosity of the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, the URI Cooperative Extension, and the URI Master Gardener Program, Aquidneck Community Table has free vegetable, herb, and flower seed packets to share with our community. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the URI Free Seed Program has had to shift the way seeds are traditionally handed out. Specific orders will not be taken this year - instead, partner organizations, such as ACT will share at farmers markets and other events.

ACT will create surprise grab bags of seeds packets to share with customers outside the Aquidneck Growers Market at the Newport Gateway Center on Saturday mornings, 9AM to 12PM, in March. Whether you grow in a container on your doorstep, a home garden, a community garden plot, or on your window sill, we hope all Rhode Islanders will try growing something new this year!
