Our community farm in Middletown demonstrates the viability and joy of small-scale sustainable agriculture.
About the Farm
Island Community Farm was established in 2012 when local residents concerned about the threats of climate change, food insecurity, and a lack of sustainability, banded together to make a difference in their community.
In partnership with Aquidneck Land Trust, from whom the farm is leased, 33 garden plots and two micro-farms are available for annual lease to island residents committed to growing organically and cooperatively.
Island Community Farm has been the location of Aquidneck Community Table's composting program as well as a Children's Garden and a Food Forest. Compost is available to community gardeners for a small fee.
Interested in growing with us? Island Community Farms offers two ways to grow your own food: Community Gardens and Micro-Farm Plots. For more information click here.
