NEW MARKET LOCATION: Join us on the ground level of Easton’s Beach Rotunda on Saturday mornings from 9AM to 12:30PM

Aquidneck Growers Markets offer fresh, locally-grown foods, with all goods grown or made by the vendor within a 50-mile radius

We are honored to have been chosen as the Can't Miss Market for Rhode Island by New England Today Travel, a publication of Yankee Magazine.  Read the full article here.

Aquidneck Community Table operates farmers markets every Saturday from 9:00 AM-12:30 PM,  as well as a summer/fall market on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM on Memorial Boulevard in Newport from May 15th through October 30th. A third season of a summer market on the north-side of Newport was located at Miantonomi Park this year on Monday afternoons from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, July 1st through August 26th.

In the unlikely event that a market must be cancelled because of extreme weather a posting will be made on our Facebook page.

Aquidneck Community Table provides easy access to seasonal, regionally-grown food and greater awareness of the benefits of eating fresh local foods for our health, the strength of our local economy, the viability of agricultural life, and the future of our earth.

Our marketplaces feature both organic and conventionally-grown products that include fresh vegetables, cut flowers, herbs, fruit, plants, eggs, breads, baked goods, meats, seafood, cheese, salsa and prepared foods such as tacos, burritos, and Middle-Eastern foods. All markets feature a changing roster of local artisans and food businesses.

We encourage shoppers to arrive by foot, bike, and scooter, as parking is limited, especially in our downtown location on Memorial Boulevard on Wednesday afternoons. Our markets are supportive community events where all are welcome to shop, snack, picnic, listen to live music, and meet and greet neighbors. With a wide variety of vendors and regular attendance by hundreds of shoppers every week, these are lively places to visit. When visiting our markets, please note that pets are not permitted in the market square.

We participate in the Fresh Bucks system that allows customers to buy market tokens with debit, credit, and EBT cards for purchasing from all vendors. The same system allows us to offer Bonus Bucks (an additional $5 free for every $5 withdrawn) for fruit and vegetables to SNAP program customers. Click here for more information on this program.  Many market vendors are also able to accept WIC and Senior Citizen vouchers; check at our Welcome Stall for a map of their locations.

Our Food-Scraps-to-Compost program offers customers the ability to drop off food scraps to be composted for an annual fee. You can purchase a bucket with a tight-sealing lid for your food scraps at our Sustainability Stall at the market.

This effort to keep reusable material out of the municipal waste stream is supported by sales of our market tote bags — which saves using those darn plastic carrier bags, now banned on Aquidneck Island. ACT fully supports this initiative and no longer offers plastic carriers at our markets. A Bag Share Bin, for those who forgot to bring their bags, allows customers to borrow a bag when needed, and share any extras they may have.
