About the 2017 Summit
Keynote speaker, Monique Bosch, Green Village Initiative, presented on Community-Driven Food Systems in Bridgeport and Cuba and joined a panel of local leaders for a discussion: What are the lessons and inspirations in creating the components of a healthy and equitable food system on Aquidneck Island? What are the opportunities and barriers? What ingredients do we have, and how do we build the recipe? How do we take existing local action to the next level?

Small group discussions on making schoolyards edible and sustainable; increasing access to healthy food to all members of our community; growing more food locally, and the many aspects of a Zero Waste life led to Table Talks, a series of discussions over supper where these conversations continue.
